USE CASE

To help you understands perfectly how arbitrage works, we are going to use the odds on a tennis match between Player 1 and Player 2 offered by bookie A and Albetrage platform - as illustrated in the image above.

In the above image, we are using a hypothetical scenario where Bookie A has placed odds as follows: Player 1’s odds of winning is 1.7, and Player 2’s odds is 2.2. Meanwhile, Albetrage being an arbitrage platform considered differently and placed odds for Player 1 as 0, and Player2 as 3.6.

If the bettor place 1000usd bet on player 1 to win @ 1.7 odd and player 2 to win @ 2.2 odd at the same bookie, what will happen is that he/she must win either options since there must be a winner.

If he wins with player 1 option

1.7 X 500usd = 850usd —— he loses 150usd

If he wins with player 2 option

2.2 X 500usd = 1,100usd —— he gains 100usd
